Orange County Mini Sessions
Mini Sessions at the Chasing Poppies Studio are offered throughout the year, each designed to capture meaningful moments in a simple and timeless way. Pure Portraits highlight your child’s personality using natural light against a clean black background. Black and White Family Mini Sessions focus on authentic connection and emotion, creating classic images you’ll always love. Momma & Mini sessions, held in April, are a sweet and playful way for moms to step in front of the camera with their little ones. Seasonal sessions like Santa Minis, holiday minis, and Halloween minis are also client favorites year after year.
Orange County Mini Sessions typically last 10–15 minutes and are a perfect alternative to a full session. Despite the shorter time, you’ll receive a strong variety of images to choose from, capturing everything you need and more.

Pure Portraits are some of my favorite sessions to offer. These studio sessions are intentionally simple—just your child, natural light, and a clean backdrop in black, white, or soft color. No props, no distractions, and only 10 minutes per child, allowing their expressions and personality to take center stage.
In these quiet, focused sessions, I capture the subtle moments that make your child who they are—the thoughtful gaze, the burst of laughter, the shy tilt of the head. The result is timeless, honest portraits that feel more like art than photographs.

If you're looking for a Newport Beach Photographer who provides a simple, quick, come-as-you-are photo experience, my Black and White Mini Sessions are just what you need. These sessions are relaxed, no-pressure, and all about capturing your family just being yourselves; laughing, hugging, playing, or simply hanging out. We’ll play your favorite music, keep things light, and let the natural moments unfold while I snap away.
These minis are held in my Newport Beach studio a few times throughout the year, most often around the holidays and on select seasonal dates. The clean, black-and-white aesthetic gives your images a timeless, artistic feel; perfect for prints, gifts, or just capturing a season of life in a simple, beautiful way. With no props or posing required, these sessions are all about connection and real emotion.

Momma & Her Minis are held each April, just in time for Mother’s Day. These short, meaningful sessions are the perfect way for moms to step in front of the camera and capture genuine moments with their little ones, because we’re so often the ones behind it.
They’re also a beautiful opportunity to include multiple generations, great-grandmas, grandmas, aunts, everyone is welcome. The more love, the better.

Upcoming Santa Mini Sessions
Reserve your special date with Santa himself! Santa is coming in from the North Pole to visit your kiddos in the studio! Santa will read a book, check to see if your kiddo is on the nice list, give your child a special treat and listen to Christmas wishes. Each session is 15 minutes.
Every years set is a little different but we will have the same ole' Santa Claus!
