Family Photographer

Family photo sessions should be fun, that’s the experience I aim to create every time. We’ll choose a location that feels like you, whether it’s the beach, a favorite trail, or another meaningful spot. Wear clothes that feel comfortable and allow for movement, cuddles, and a little chaos, no need to be perfect or overly posed.

During the session, I’ll guide you with natural prompts while letting real moments unfold. The best photos often come from the in-between, silly laughs, windblown hair, or your toddler running into your arms. My editing style is clean and true to life so your images reflect what the moment actually felt like.

I offer family sessions throughout Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, and Irvine, capturing families just as they are—loving, growing, and perfectly imperfect.

So how does everything work?

Let me explain...

1 - Lets book and plan

You can book your Orange County Family Photo session by filling out my contact form or by calling or texting 949-922-7183. Once I hear from you, I’ll send a booking link where you can secure your date and share a little about yourself and your family. You’ll also receive a simple prep guide with everything you need to know to get ready for your session.

2 - On your session day

My Orange County family sessions are typically done around sunset. Once we all arrive, we will get to shooting right away so we can make the most of our time.

3 - After your session

About two weeks after your session, you’ll receive an email with a link to your proof gallery. From there, you can select the images you’d like to include in your package and send me a quick text once you’re finished. I’ll then add your selections to my retouch queue, and once your images are fully edited, I’ll send you a final gallery. If you’ve ordered prints, they’ll be ready for pickup 2–3 weeks after your final gallery is delivered.

How long are the sessions?

My Orange County Family Photography sessions are are 30 min - 1 hour depending on the package you select.  

Can you recommend a location?

Yes, I have a list of locations that I shoot at often.  I can send you sample photos of the locations so you can choose the one that fits your family best.  I'm also always open to new locations if lighting and crowds permit. 

My kids and/or husband hate having their pictures taken.

I can relate—I don’t love having my picture taken either! When I became a photographer, I made it my goal to make family sessions fun and, at the very least, painless for everyone involved. I pride myself on being able to read a family as soon as we meet and adjust how I run the session accordingly. It’s paid off, because I often hear how easy, quick, and even enjoyable the experience is from Dad's and teens (my trickiest clients).  

What if my child acts crazy during our session?

If your child acts crazy during the session or won't sit still then guess what... you have a totally normal child!!  I encourage kids to act like kids during our shoot!  I believe this produces the best photos.  We want their personality to come shining through. 

This isn't my first rodeo.  I have 3 kids of my own and I have been photographing kids and even teaching kids photography for years.  I have tons of tricks up my sleeve to have fun and also capture that smiling "money" shot that every mom wants.

What I ask is that parents don't coach from the sidelines.  Its just like soccer where you should let the coach do the coaching.  

I do bribe with candy at the end of the session however, I will always check with your first to make sure you're okay with it.  No peanuts of course!
